The business card reader; Between analog and digital

It is clear that business cards serve very little in the way of practical purposes anymore. It keeps alive the tradition of the past without impeding the needs of the future either.
A business card reader, thus, is by far a more fashionable way of being modernized. It is a coextensive accessory to todays personal digital assistants rather than a substitute for them. As we step into the future, the whole concept of calling cards will one day become obsolete and cease to exist thanks to the digital revolution, but for today, at least, we are still in the process of stepping into the future rather than having reached there already, and this device is a symbol of the needs of such changing times without leaning excessively in either direction.
