Submit My Blog: The Basics
|
|
One of the most common concerns of most bloggers is answering the question "What benefits will I gain when I submit my blog to blog directories?" Some bloggers will actually submit their blogs to dozens of directories or even more, while others feel that this wouldnt be of much use. What I have learned through extensive research and experience however, is that I get consistently good results when I submit my blog to a few different blog directories a short time after launching them. What I quickly learned when I submit my blog to blog directories was that I was able to garner backlinks in a fairly short time. The result was that my websites became more "attractive" to search engines, which indexed them more readily and in turn caused them to achieve a higher ranking in search engine results pages. Search engines particularly value these links. All things being equal, search engines place a higher value on pages that have more links, since this is a sign of a worthy blog. This is actually how I got better results when I submit my blog to blog directories. The directory listings themselves dont actually generate more visitors. There is a bit of dispute about the proper number of blog directories to submit my blog to. Some people feel that I should submit my blog to as many as hundreds of blog directories, while others feel that this would be pointless. As is the norm in the industry, it appears that submission to 10 blog directories or even less is sufficient. For although search engines are attracted to sites that have plenty of links, they are more likely to place a higher value on links that are featured on on topic posts and articles, as opposed to those that come from blog directories. My primary concern at this point was how to find blog directories that I could submit my blog to. I found that a search for "blog directory" got me several leads in this regard. In fact, many of the better blog directories came in at the top of the search results pages. There are many blog directories that have specific rules about posting backlinks. I thought that I would be better off skipping those, as there are certainly many other directories that allow me to submit my blog without complicating matters too much. Many of the blog directories I tried out were simple to submit content to. I felt that it would be best to skip the ones that take longer, and instead spend a few minutes in order to submit my blog only to a few blog directories. I was then able to focus on producing better content that resulted in more links. Other articles Blog blogging
